DEALER PREPARATION
ZEAGLE: Zeagle requires all authorized dealers to sign a very extensive and complex dealer agreement to limit their insurance exposure risk. It requires the dealer to personally inspect and test every BCD to make sure it is assembled correctly and in working order before being sold to a customer. This procedure transfers product liability from the manufacture to the dealer. However, it is only useful if the dealer is competent, and actually performs the required testing & inspection process. EAGLE Z1: Eagle Z1 does not require dealer inspections or testing to be performed on new buoyancy products, because it has already been thoroughly done by the factory and again by the distributor by factory trained certified experts. We know our products are assembled correctly and function perfectly right out of the box.
WARRANTY PROCEDURE
ZEAGLE: The Zeagle factory does not accept warranty products directly from Zeagle customers due to liability issues. Warranty returns can only be done through the authorized Zeagle dealer acting as a buffer. This is a VERY slow 4 step process that can involve considerable freight charges that are passed on to the customer. (#1. Customer to Dealer) then (#2. Dealer to Factory) then (#3. From Factory back to Dealer) then (#4. From Dealer back to Customer) EAGLE Z1: This is a very fast and simple 2 step process. Customer calls our distributor and speaks directly with a certified BCD tech, if the problem cannot be resolved the BCD is returned directly for repair or replacement. Most repairs and service can be accomplished very quickly.

INTEGRATED WEIGHT SYSTEM
SAME: Both the Eagle Z1 & Zeagle Ranger utilize a twin weight pocket integrated weight with gravity drop and zipper access top loading system. ZEAGLE: The Zeagle Ranger models utilize a 1 speed ripcord weight release method that opens both weight pockets and simultaneously ejecting 100% of your ballast weight. Once released, either by accident or on purpose, causing a rapid emergency buoyant ascent to begin. This single speed system can present a serious risk when diving in an overhead environment like caves and ship wrecks. It is important to note that the divers ballast weights CANNOT be re-installed into the weight pockets without removing the entire BCD from the diver. It takes an experienced diver over 6 minutes on average when on land to re-thread the cable release system through the retaining loops.
EAGLE Z1: The Eagle Z1 weight system utilize a 2 speed weight release system. This allows the diver to eject 50% of the ballast weight at a time offering far more speed control during a buoyant ascent. Each weight pocket is located on opposite sides of the diver with special no-snag flaps to prevent accidental ejection. The risk of having all of your ballast weights instantly ejected and being pinned to a cave or ship wreck ceiling is avoided entirely with the safer Eagle Z1 weight release system. Our unique weight pocket design even allows the diver to recover and replace the ballast weights into the weight pockets WITHOUT having to remove the BCD, or abort the dive. It is a simple 10 second process to re-load and re-set on BOTH of our Eagle Z1 weight release pockets.
